In the run-up to Easter, pupils rose to the challenge of finding new, innovative ways to raise money in their form charity events that didn't involve a bake sale. In a stroke of inspiration, 10S came up with the idea of a staff charity bench ball match, held at lunchtime in front of a paying audience of pupils.
In true TWGGS community fashion, staff were keen to take part and were excellent sports, playing with commitment and enthusiasm. Over 350 pupils attended - far more than 10S had anticipated - and it turned out to be enormous fun. The form raised a record-breaking amount of almost £400, more than any other form charity event. In the words of one form member, "We honestly could not have done it with out the support of the whole school as we could not have raised so much without them, and also many thanks to the teachers that took part. Without them we would not have been able to host this with such amazing results."
Well done to everyone involved!
