Leavers' Day

Leavers' Day

14th Jul 2026

Upper Sixth and Year 11 pupils, along with their parents, carers and wider family were our guests of honour at the Leavers' Day Service on Friday, 26th June. This was a formal opportunity for Mrs Marchant and Mrs Davis, on behalf of the whole school, to thank both year groups for their huge contribution to the TWGGS community and to wish them every success as they embark on their next steps. The outgoing Head Girl Team delivered powerful, personal speeches addressing each of our core TWGGS values of community, challenge and character. While the vast majority of Year 11 pupils will be returning to take up places in the Sixth Form in September, the 3Cs Leadership Team reflected on their shared highlights as a year group, ahead of a long summer free from exam revision. In classic TWGGS style, our outstanding cohort of 2026 Leavers led us in a celebratory rendition of Natasha Beddingfield's 'Unwritten': we cannot wait to hear what their next chapters have in store.

"Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins."
