On 24th March, a group of our keen readers visited Skinners’ School for a very enjoyable and informative talk by Stewart Foster, author of The Bubble Boy and Check Mates. Stewart gave us an insight into his creative process and what inspires him and he seemed very impressed by our pupils’ original and interesting questions at the end! The trip marked the finale of our KS3 book group, the Fellowship of the Reads; next term sees the start of our weekly Carnegie Shadowing group, where we will be reading and discussing an exciting shortlist of eight titles, culminating in a balloon debate and awards event at The Skinners’ School on 19 June.
