Congratulations to Year 8 pupil Millie, who has been ranked best in Kent for both javelin and shot put in her age group. Millie represented TWGGS and the Tunbridge Wells district at the Kent Schools’ Track and Field Championships earlier in the summer and won gold in both events. Millie’s achievements were all the more impressive given the terrible weather conditions – not only two golds, but also a Personal Best in shot put, despite throwing into a 30mph head wind.
Millie’s regional success also sees her placed 4th in the UK for javelin and 20th in the national ranking for shot put.
