Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School is celebrating with Upper Sixth Leavers and staff this morning, following another excellent set of A Level results. More than a quarter of pupils secured three A grades or above across an impressive range of 21 subject areas, with 81% of the year group achieving grades A* to B.
Overall, the 2024 results reveal a pleasing uplift in the percentage of top grades: 48% gained A* and A grades this summer, compared to 45% in 2023 and 43% in 2019 (the last year of examinations before Covid disruption). At the very top of the cohort, we are delighted to report that 5 pupils succeeded in achieving straight A*s in all of their subjects.
As TWGGS’ pupils prepare to take up places at top universities and highly competitive degree level apprenticeships, we congratulate them all on their well-deserved successes and thank all of our staff for their continued hard work and dedication.
