West Side Story with The Skinners' School
8th Feb 2024
If you were lucky enough to get a ticket, you will have been treated to a wonderful performance last week of 'West Side Story' at The Skinners' School, a joint production between TWGGS and Skinners'. The whole rehearsal process and run of four performances was an experience that our pupils enjoyed immensely, and here, Jordan shares his thoughts with us:
"This year, Sixth Form students had the opportunity to collaborate with Skinners’ for the senior production,
West Side Story
! We went over at lunchtimes and after school time to rehearse, and in the process bonded with Skinners’ students. The experience allowed a creative output, similar to our school productions, but with a further chance to get to know a wider community. Being so close with Skinners’, especially in Sixth Form, creates the chance to see a range of talent in another environment and to connect with one another. It was overall a very rewarding process with long time friendships and connections made."
