Congratulations to Year 8 pupil, Anjalie, who was part of the Saxons squad made up of players from Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire competing at the U13 Tournament at Nottingham last weekend. Regions from all over the UK bring some of their strongest U13 players to compete at this festival every year. After five very competitive games over the weekend, two of which Anjalie was selected as captain for, the Saxons squad won a bronze medal, defeating Ulster 2-1 in a very tense game that included Anjalie scoring a lovely goal.
Her performances have secured her selection for the U14 Girls UK Lions squad, and for the next 12 months she will be training and playing matches in the UK, Spain, Holland and Northern Ireland.
