On Thursday 15th June, Year 10 pupils participated in the annual Enterprise Day. Pupils worked in teams with external facilitators to put together a bid to win the tender to be the catering company that ran a coronation event. The event was won by 'Garden of Eden'.

 

I found Enterprise day to be an insightful and rewarding experience, which invited me into the world of work. I was given the opportunity to mature rapidly, navigate the dynamics of a work setting, and how to work in a team of people each with different roles. It was interesting to balance the independence of the day with the importance of communicating and cooperating with my team. But overall, I went a way with a sense of pride and accomplishment and am grateful to have been able to apply skills which I’m sure I will have to resurface in the future.
