Sixth Form Cabaret

Sixth Form Cabaret

22nd Mar 2024
The Sixth Form put on a wonderful show on the 14th March, selling out within a week of tickets going on sale. This popular event showcases TWGGS talent at its best, and this year was no exception: each number varied in style and genre, covering a wide range of musical tastes from jazz, musical theatre, opera, folk and pop.

Raising money for this term’s charity Kent Mind, the Cabaret team collected close to £700 throughout the evening. Chloe Brazier and Harriet Dunkin were outstanding hosts, introducing each piece with wit and charisma. The Tech Crew, led by the multi-talented Mr Bicknell, also ensured the evening ran without a hitch. A big thank must also go to Holly Coppard who served a super selection of mock-tails throughout the evening.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who gave up their time to support this Sixth Form fixture: not only was it a wonderful demonstration of talent, it was a joy to see pupils and staff coming together to create such an inclusive and supportive evening. Alice Hughes did a wonderful job in her role as Music Prefect, not only singing, but accompanying a number of pupils by playing a wide variety of instruments. Thank you to the staff who bravely sang and played too: Mrs Brown and Dr Taylor were particularly memorable - not only do they have a stunning vocal range, their wigs were exceptional!
