Lower Sixth Geography Field Trip to Slapton

Lower Sixth Geography Field Trip to Slapton

26th Feb 2024

The Geography team, Mr.Breeze, Mr.Smith, Mrs.Miller and Mrs.Bowler, took the lower six Geography classes to the Slapton Ley Fieldwork Centre in Devon from 19th to 23rd February to complete fieldwork data collection for their Non Examined Assessments (NEA), which is worth 20% of their Geography A levels.

We enjoyed a stunning sunset on the first evening at Slapton Sands. However, by the Wednesday, we weren’t so lucky, and the pupils doing coastal data collection had to endure driving winds and rain - real character building moments!  We were all soaked!

The pupils worked hard all week and were a credit to the school. (Thanks to Miss Smith for holding the Geography fort back at school!).
